About Midst Photography by Ellie Ellis

Hello there, I'm so glad you are here. My name is Ellie, I am a passionate photographer from Portland Oregon. I have admired the beauty in everything ever since I was a little girl. When I got my first phone at 10 I spent every day taking photos of everything: family gatherings, playful Animals, the serene beauty of parks and beaches. I found a certain joy for being able to express myself through my photos and was captivated by the power of photography to capture and preserve life's precious moments.

However, my personal experience with loss deeply shaped my perspective. Growing up I experienced a lot of grief losing  ( my father at age 6 and my mother at 18 ) both suddenly. It taught me the profound value of cherishing every memory. I don’t have many pictures of either my parents or all the amazing memories we experienced together as a family. I know first hand how important a single photograph can have - transporting you back in time, instantly reigniting emotions and reliving cherished memories. 

I strive to give people those amazing photos they can hold onto for the rest of their lives and be able to look back on to relive all the amazing moments again. I love being able to capture the true authentic essence of love, joy, and lifes many stages in my work. No matter what stage of life and all things inbetween I am ready to capture it. There is not much I won't do! My current focus is on animal photography, family portraits, solo portraits, and landscape/nature photography, but I'm always open to exploring new creative avenues. I love the challenge of capturing the unique personalities of animals, the genuine connections between family and friends, and the breathtaking beauty of landscapes and nature. 

Beyond the lens, I am a 19-year-old girl who loves exploring the world for what it is.

You can find me exploring the outdoors with my dogs, participating in various dog sports, listening to music, traveling, or simply enjoying quality time with loved ones and embracing life for the simple pleasures.When I'm not taking pictures you can find me outdoors at the beach or river with my dogs.
